Get Your Ebook Published on Kindle!

To get your book published on Kindle has become almost an impossible task. Companies no longer look at new authors, and when they finally, it is a different story to get them interested. This has lead many authors to just want to publish their books themselves.

Kindle publishing has offered a platform for self-publishing. Amazon, who is the creator of Kindle, publishes the book from you and gives you royalties that can go up to 70 percent of the price of the book. However, when you publish it is not a guarantee sale; you need to promote your book yourself.

The first thing you need to get your book published is to create an account of Amazon. If you are already a customer, you can use the same username and password for the publishing website. The following steps will take you through the process of getting published for Kindle:

1.     Use word document to write your book, and then use it to convert the file to Html.

       You want t make sure that your book is edited well, Kindle doesn’t edit anything. This can make or break your book.

3.     Know, go on the publishing platform and sign in, and do a quick download for the quick start guide. Follow the instructions of uploading your work. HTML is not the only supported format, but it is the best. They also accept PDF, text file.   

4.     Then, you want to add your book title, description, price, the author’s biography and the manuscript. From here, you want to get the message out there about your book. Go through the information, make sure it is what you want, remember, this is what is going to sell your book and make you look credible.

5.     After you’re done, check back in a few days to see the book up and selling. You want to monitor the book, make sure that it is going according to your expectations. You can always change stuff about it and you change the price as well. You want to start low and then see where you can take it.

6.     If perhaps your book is a non-fiction book, than associate it with a popular search term. Put that term in your title and also in the description of the book.  

7.     Now, look into how to market it. You have face book, you have twitter, use these social media tools to your advantage.  Create a community for your book!
